Zonal Sales Manager is a sales/business development professional responsible for maintaining customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and ensuring efficient sales operations within a specific geographic area.

What will you be doing?

Zonal Sales Manager is responsible for handling multiple sales management functions in the assigned geographic region. Responsible for sales targets achievement, field force management (including talent management, (Key Result area) KRA monitoring of field staff, expeditious recruitment in the event of vacancies in consultation with HR department), distribution & trade channel management, key account & Key opinion leader (KOL) management. Accountable for managing clinical seminars & conferences, and promotional campaigns (in consultation with local sales force and (Head Office) HO based clinical specialists & product management team).

  • Achieving regional sales target, with a bias towards ensuring that product wise and individual team member’s sales targets are also achieved.

  • Maintaining sales records, analysing the same, and ensuring that sales trends analyses are communicated to field staff, with clear future action plans.

  • Training, counselling, motivating and skill development of the team members.

  • Managing the distribution channels of assigned zone. Developing cordial professional relationships with key channel partners, with a view to aligning their activities & investment with corporate objectives to drive sales growth.

  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling the inventory levels at DCBs (regional depots), and/or super stockists

  • Liaise with the institutional stockists/liaison agents and hospital stores & purchase personnel to strengthen the availability and usage of our products in the institutional segment.

  • Interact with supply chain team at Central Warehouse and (Distributor on Consignment Basis)

  • DCB staff for discussing sales forecasts, demand planning, inventory control, treatment of short expiry stock, and ensuring timely deliveries to customers

  • Responsible for overall sales administration pertaining to the assigned zone.

  • Organising, participating & ensure effective promotion of assigned company products during medical seminars and conferences.

  • Interaction with HO Marketing to procure technical and marketing information and formulating tactics for field sales promotion.

  • Ensuring ethical promotion of products to medical practitioners and hospitals. Developing key accounts, and Key Opinion Leaders for the focus products.

  • Developing regional pricing, coverage & business development strategies in consultation with the divisional manager for developing the trade and institutional business in the region.

  • Ensuring timely delivery of comprehensive regional reports every sales period.

  • Ensure that self and all team members comply with ‘Code of Ethics’ as prescribed by the company from time to time.

What will you need to be successful?

Successful candidates would need the following:

  • Graduate with minimum 15+ years of Relevant industry experience, of which minimum 5 years in regional level supervisory position. Preferably worked in leading Indian or MNC company

  • Proficient knowledge and Experience in Should have the requisite knowledge about Medical Device Segment

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Self-Driven and result oriented approach

Travel Requirements: 50–75%
