Z/oS Admin Specialist

Your Role and Responsibilities

• System Administration: administering and Managing mainframe operating systems such as IBM z/OS ensuring they run efficiently and securely.
• Software Installation and Configuration: Installing configuring and maintaining software applications and utilities on the mainframe system ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
• System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitoring system performance identifying bottlenecks or areas for improvement and implementing optimizations to enhance overall efficiency and reliability.
• Security Management: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the mainframe system from unauthorized access data breaches and other security threats.
• Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity during system failures or disasters.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues and system errors independently or in collaboration with other IT personnel or vendors.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Several years of experience as a Mainframe System Administrator on Operating Systems such as z/OS.
• Responsible independent organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills .
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English Hebrew) .
• Highly motivated team player ready to collaborate with others to get things done .

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• BSc/MSc in computer science/engineering .
• Growth mindset strive to learn new things and gain experience.
