The role involves software development activities, including turning agile stories into implementable concepts, development, testing, and deployment. The engineer will use BDD patterns, implement robust testing, and have opportunities for server-side business logic, client web application, and UI development. Java, Python, embedded C/C++, Java cryptographic framework, XML, web UI, and special purpose device programming opportunities are available. The role requires a bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of relevant development experience, or a master's with 2-6 years. Demonstrated experience with Java is mandatory, along with familiarity with multiple technologies including Java/JEE, Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, WSDL, WADL, PERL, PowerShell, VBS, Eclipse, Postgres, Oracle, Jenkins on a Windows platform. Experience with User Interface development, databases, XHTML, HTML, XML, XSLT, and development on Windows and/or Linux operating systems is also required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development principles, be able to plan and prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required.
