Key responsibilities include using Log Analytics, deploying VMs, configuring for optimal cost, performance, and security, securing data, backing up data, configuring long-term archival storage, encrypting data, protecting Azure Active Directory accounts, reducing the attack surface, deploying and configuring firewalls, VPN gateways, NSGs, ASGs, setting up Azure budgets, reporting on Azure consumption, implementing Azure resource reservations, using Terraform, deploying and configuring virtual networks and hubs, implementing VNet peering, managing IP addresses, and more. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of IT administration/engineering experience, 2+ years in Azure administration/engineering, a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, broad exposure to IT infrastructure and application landscape, experience in day-to-day operations in Azure Platform, experience with cost management in Azure Platform, experience in Azure deployments using Jira, Azure DevOps, and Terraform, customer service experience, empathetic listening skills, and Microsoft certifications are desired.
