The cardiology department consists of 5 members, including an interventionalist, EP, general cardiologist, and a Nurse Practitioner. The role involves clinical patient care with procedures like TEE, Cardioversions, Tilt Table tests, Nuclear Stress Tests, stress Echo, and stress treadmills. Consults are 30-40 minutes and revisits are 15-20 minutes. Inpatient census is around 10 patients with 1-6 consults per day. Call is one week per month, mostly by phone with occasional onsite visits. The Nurse Practitioner assists with inpatient rounding. The team is collegial and the working environment is supportive.
