for a Staff RF Engineer and in this role youll be part of a crossfunctional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the worlds best quantum computers to solve the worlds most complex problems You will design and validate high performance Integrated Microwave Assemblies IMAs for laser control including low phase noise RF synthesizers 0115 GHz phaselock loops AGC loops power amplifiers 1 5 W Mixers Switches and laser amplitudefrequency stabilization systems<p> <p><br ><p><p><strong>Responsibilities <strong><p> <ul><li>Expert in RF Analog circuit design test and optimization up to 15 GHz<li> <li>Detailed knowledge of RFAnalog and mixedsignal design techniques including synthesizer design mixers amplifiers PLLs low phase noise VCOs filters etc<li> <li>Perform RF engineering design tasks including requirements analysis specification generation component selection simulation schematic capture and board layout<li> <li>Design simulate and test analog and digital phase lock loops for RF synthesizers and laser frequencyphase locks<li> <li>Direct workflow of PCB designers to assure superior RF performance of layouts<li> <ul><p><br ><p><p><strong>Youd be a good fit with <strong><p> <ul><li>At least five years of technical experience in RFMicrowave engineering and circuit design of synthesizers and phase locked loops<li> <li>Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or other relevant technical degree from an accredited university<li> <li>Experience using AWR Microwave Office simulation software or similar<li> <li>Experience in creating complete schematics for controlled RF modules using a schematic capture tool like Altium Designer preferred OrCAD or PADS<br ><li> <ul><p><strong>Youd be a great fit with <strong><p> <ul><li>Masters degree or PhD in electrical engineering physics mathematics or other relevant technical field<li> <li>At least ten years of technical experience in RFMicrowave engineering and circuit design<li> <li>Experience in designing plugin modular RF cards for PXI VMA or VPX standards<li> <li>Understanding of EMI EMC ESD standards and implementation<li> <li>Familiarity with Electro Optical Modulators
