Summary
This position is located at Wiesbaden Auto Skills Center.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives will not be paid.
Duties
Serves as the technical and administrative supervisor over auto shop operations exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations.
Ensures monthly inventories of controlled property are performed and reports discrepancies to supervisor as they occur.
Assists with the submission of all financial and statistical data as required by Installation Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation, Financial Management.
Assist with annual budget preparation. Assists patrons with automotive repair and independently performs automotive repair as required.
The incumbent must have an in depth knowledge of automotive equipment theoretical and mechanical procedures and practices, such as power train components; hydraulics; diesel and gas integral combustion engines.

A one-year probationary period may be required.
Incumbent must be able to obtain an Official No-fee Passport.
To accomplish work, must stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crawl, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
Frequently lifts equipment weighing 35 to 45 pounds; occasionally lifts assemblies or other equipment weighing over 45 pounds with assistance. And occasionally lift and carry, items that weigh to 70 pounds
Usually works inside in noisy and drafty areas with hard surfaces and is exposed to dirt, grease, and fumes.
May work outside in inclement weather, in heat and humidity, mud or snow and in wet or icy conditions. May be subject to skin irritations, fumes, dust, cuts, bruises, shocks, burns and strains.
Must possess a valid driver's license as required by local/state. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid USAREUR driver's license.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Experience and training that provide the knowledge of the makeup, operation, and installation of all components, assemblies, and power generation / vehicle systems.
Experience and training that provide the knowledge to identify when and how far major components should be torn down, what parts and mechanisms can be reworked and refitted or should be replaced with new parts, and the type and extent of adjustment and alignment required.
Experience and training that provide the knowledge for the use of a wide variety of test equipment.
Ability to use and maintain appropriates tools and equipment.
Ability to read, understand and apply instruction and other materials related to the job.
Demonstrated ability to lead and/or supervise.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
One (1) year Family and MWR NAF management experience.
Possess Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certifications or experience in light duty vehicle repair. *please provide a copy of the certification(s).

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week - whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
Foreign overseas allowances, post allowance, and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility. These allowances may include Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA) and requires a Transportation Agreement in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).
