Summary This position is located within the Fort Gordon Business Operations Division. Duties Prepares contracts for private functions, using established costs; orders flowers, decorations, etc. Prepares all related invitation orders, party work sheets and contracts. Assists patrons with time schedules for weddings and other formal functions. Analyzes requirements of the occasion and recommends suitable services, menus and beverage items; coordinates with club manager, food service staff and patrons. Draws up contracts making commitment for requested functions. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Position, duty hours, location and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: One year of specialized work experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of this position or education leading to bachelor's degree directly related to the duties to be performed. Must possess exceptional communication and people skills in customer service and problem resolution. Preferred is post high school education related to the duties to be performed, experience in sales and customer service as well as knowledge and experience with catering management software. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
