Job Description

Summary This position is located aboard NAS Whidbey Island with Unaccompanied Housing. The purpose of this position is to provide adequate and timely custodial services to the lodging operation. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check required. This position involves work on workdays and may involve weekends, and holidays, as well as rotating shifts. Physical exertion is involved in standing and walking for long periods, some bending, stooping and lifting is required. Position requires a constant vigilance to ensure maximum security for UH residents and employees in and around the facility. Possess valid driver’s license as travel to other facilities within normal scope of duties may be required. Qualifications Must have general knowledge of cleaning procedures, cleaning equipment, commonly used chemicals (including SDS) and basic safety is required. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with management, staff and guests. Education There is no educational requirement for this position. Additional information Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required. We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee's eligibility to work in the United States. This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within 60 days of issuance of selection certificate. For positions requiring travel more than twice per year, selectee may be required to obtain and maintain in good standing a Government-issued Travel Card for official government travel purposes.
