You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
The employee may be required to work overtime on an emergent basis.
This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Information Assurance Management (IAM), proficiency level II.
The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
The incumbent is required to meet IAM Level II position requirements as defined in DoD guidance within six months of assignment.
The incumbent is required to earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of assigned duties.
The incumbent is required to participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2.
A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience displaying a mastery of IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of IT security.
Experience reviewing new IT developments and applications, emerging technologies, and the ability to visualize the potential for applying them to satisfy mission and business requirements.
Experience engaging current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security assessment, monitoring, detection and remediation tools and procedures utilizing standards-based concepts and capabilities.
Experience and familiarity with Risk Management Framework requirements and DoD information systems security protocols sufficient to integrate information systems security with other security disciplines and to ensure coordination and/or collaboration on security activities.
Experience demonstrating mastery of methods to conduct and certify security authorizations for systems or applications.
