Summary
This position is located in the Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), Aviation Operations Branch, Operations Division, Office of Aviation (INL/A). INL/A provides planning, operational and logistical support, as well as contract oversight for INL counter narcotics and embassy aviation programs in Colombia, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Iraq, along with other country programs as required.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements, including education and any selective placement factors described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience overseeing a Rotary Wing and Fixed Wing aviation program.
Experience guiding and managing aviation programs that could be applied effectively in a counter narcotics aviation program.
Experience collecting and disseminating data on aviation tactics and techniques in support of the aviation counter narcotics/counter terrorism mission.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
In addition, applicant's experience must also demonstrate that the candidate possesses the following qualities:
Ability to assign, review, and supervise the work of others;
Objectivity and fairness in judging people on their ability, and situations on the facts and circumstances;
Ability to adjust to change, work pressures, or difficult situations without undue stress;
Willingness to consider new ideas or divergent points of view; and
Capacity to "see the job through."
