Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a knowledge of shipbuilding, managerial and administrative principles and practices that enables employees to serve as a recognized expert and to recommend policy and program objectives. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Mastery of shipbuilding, restoration, and maintenance that enables employee to serve as a recognized expert for the Department of the Navy. 2) Conduct research pertaining to late 1700's and early 1800's shipbuilding techniques and practices. 3) Determination of program goals and development of work plans for projects that ensure safety and mission accomplishment. 4) Knowledge and skill required to represent the Navy in project matters in agency or task group meetings with stakeholders. 5) Managerial skills and knowledge to direct the work of seven distinct trade specialties as well as a variety of general schedule employees. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
