Summary This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. This position is located on the Communication and Marketing Staff (SC) of the Office of the Chief of Staff (S). The NARA Public Affairs and Communications program provides support to the Archivist, Deputy Archivist, Chief of Staff and all offices within NARA. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. A one year probationary period may be required. A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form i-9. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Evaluating the effectiveness of outreach and communications programs; AND - Planning and leading a team, project, and/or an outreach communications program; AND - Responding to internal and external inquiries for individuals or segments of the public directly and indirectly affected by an organization's programs that contribute to the overall understanding of the organization, thereby furthering community awareness and support for the missions of the agency.
