Incentives and Bonuses Retention incentives may be paid. Duties Collects sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving. Makes a variety of fruit and vegetable salads. Portions out food, cleans and prepares meats and seafood for cooking. Checks food during cooking to prevent overcooking. Prepares sandwiches and box lunches. Washes dishes, pots and pans. Empties trash and cleans and sanitizes containers. Unloads trucks and places contents in proper storage and use areas, brings supplies to work areas. Able to work alone. Know simple food handling techniques. Able to work safely. Able to serve uniform individual portions and avoid distractions when several guests ask for different items at the same time. Able to use simple arithmetic. Receives verbal and written assignments. Is expected to work as scheduled and to know what steps are needed to complete the work. Accomplishes work on own initiative. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Shifts may include working, morning, nights, weekends, holidays and special events. Must meet state/local age requirements (21) at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Candidates must: Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and/or nonalcoholic beverages. *** All experience must be listed on the resume for that experience to be considered. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
