Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Certain Personnel/Modified Direct Hire Authority. Duties
You will be responsible for assisting in planning and performing various audit, inspection, examination, and evaluation assignments.
You will plan and perform various performance and financial audit and evaluation assignments or audit and attestation engagement assignments.
You will Identify, analyze, and research accounting and auditing issues.
You will participate in meetings with high level officials to brief on findings, explain the significance of conclusions, and justify recommendations. Performs other similar duties as assigned.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as;
1. Knowledge of concepts and practices of accounting and auditing and financial management.
2. Conducting examinations that require an integrated analysis of complex accounting systems and financing over a broad range of industry occupations.
3. Serving as senior expert and consultant to top agency management officials to advise on integrating the financial and budget systems.
4. Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics operations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
Degree: auditing; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration or accounting.
OR
Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:
A certificate as a Certified Internal Auditor or a Certified Public Accountant, obtained through written examination; or
Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial coursework in auditing or accounting, e.g., 15 semester hours.
Additional information
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.
You may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) during site visits in warehouses.
You may be required to work overtime to support audit related travel, mission-critical deadlines, including response to external audit inquiries and senior leadership briefings.

A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
