Summary
This position is located at FMWR Sports, Fitness and Aquatics on Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives will not be paid.
Duties
Provides oversight of events and tournaments.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities.
Monitors condition of, cleans, and performs minor maintenance on athletics equipment.
Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assistants with publicity of events and tournaments and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material.
Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures.

Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within one year of employment.
Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking, and must be able to work in settings where exposure to moderate discomforts may exist. Physical exam will be required.
Required to obtain and maintain Certified User Certification(s) for operating specialized sports and maintenance equipment, including the Zamboni, zero-turn mower and tractor.
All training programs and any fees associated with obtaining certifications are paid for by the agency.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
One (1) year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry.
Possess a current nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Education
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
