Must be a U.S. Citizen or National and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. (Birth certificate showing birth in the U.S; Unexpired U.S. Passport; Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization; or Report of Birth Abroad of a U.S. Citizen (Form FS-240))
Undergo a review of prior performance/conduct and an income tax verification. If you are not in compliance, you will be determined unsuitable for employment with IRS.
This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S. These documents must be unexpired original or certified copies.

Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE Grade 05: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below. One year or twelve (12) months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. Specialized experience is experience that is in or related to this position and provided you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Such experience should include performing routine assignments related to supply management functions such as: Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels. Review requests for services. Operate computer terminals/laptops. Contact others (e.g., customers, supply organizations, etc) to obtain material status information, to follow-up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of material.
OR
A Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of education above high school in any field of study from an accredited college or university.
OR
An equivalent amount of combined education and experience. Only education in excess of 60 semester hours, 90 quarter hours or 1440 classroom hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement for the GS-5 level. For example, one full year of academic study (30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or 720 formal classroom hours) beyond the second year is equal to 6 months of specialized experience. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, college, or university.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE Grade 6: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below. To be minimally qualified at the GS-06 grade level, you must meet have one year or twelve (12) months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. Such experience should include experience such as: Assist others in overseeing stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels. Establish or adjust stock levels and reorder points using standard formulas and prescribed procedures. Initiate, prepare, edit, and process forms and requests. Operate computer terminals/laptops and other automated equipment to support office work. Maintain an inventory database. Contact customers, supply organizations, transportation units to obtain material status information. Review forms and requests to identify requirements.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE Grade 7: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below. To be minimally qualified at the GS -07 grade level, you must meet have one year or twelve (12) months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. Such experience should include experience such as: Maintain office budget records, reports and spreadsheets. Oversee and maintain prescribed supply levels. Conduct physical inventories and adjust/maintain supply inventory and property account records. Review forms and requests to identify requirements and to process and implement control procedures. Maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for equipment and supplies. Initiate, prepare, edit, and process forms and requests. Operate computer terminals/laptops and other automated equipment to support office and classroom work. Maintain an inventory database. Contact customers, supply organizations, transportation units to obtain material status information.

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. This is a bargaining unit position.
Tour of Duty: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (May be negotiated after selection)
Alternative work schedule, staggered work hours or ad-hoc telework may be available.
In the event that a building is closed due to rent management, new hires may be placed in a local commuting location.
TOD may be adjusted occasionally to accommodate workload needs and may include periodic coverage of late shifts.
As needed, must be able to move between office space, storage space, and training rooms to
provide support to customers, and able to lift boxes, materials, supplies, and move
equipment/furniture.
This is a limited Telework position and must report to the (NY0376): 1040 Waverly Avenue Holtsville, NY 11742-1129 POD regularly.
Telework Eligible Positions: Telework eligible positions do not guarantee telework. Employees
must meet and sustain IRS telework eligibility requirements and supervisor's approval to
participate in the IRS Telework Program. Employees must also be within a 200-mile radius of
their official assigned post-of-duty (POD) while in a telework status. As a reminder - If you are
selected for a position, you are responsible for reporting to your designated POD (location) on
the negotiated start date or as directed by management.

The offices within IRS University support various aspects of learning and development within the Service; including but not limited to: classroom training delivery; virtual training delivery; leadership training and development; professional and cross-functional training; HR professional training; career management; knowledge management; and training plans approval and evaluation.
LES supports face-to-face classroom training delivery at the 24 CLS training sites.
