Locums Family Medicine or General Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Medicine or General Internal Medicine Physician to join our team in providing high-quality care within a nursing home setting in Berlin, VT. While geriatric experience is preferred, it is not required. In this role, you will care for a diverse patient population, focusing on admissions, discharges, acute and 30-day evaluations, and supporting the overall health and well-being of each resident. Your key responsibilities will include delivering comprehensive medical care to nursing home residents, ensuring that treatment plans are patient-centered and individualized. You will conduct necessary procedures, such as patient admissions, discharges, acute evaluations, and routine 30-day health assessments. The average patient load is between 8-12 patients per day, allowing you to provide focused and attentive care. Additionally, you will collaborate with nursing home staff to ensure continuity of care and to promptly address any immediate or emerging health concerns.   Qualifications: Board Certification in Family Medicine, General Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics. Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Compassionate approach to elderly care and a commitment to improving patient outcomes in a nursing home setting.
