Summary Be a vital part of our military community's quality of life programs by joining our Morale, Welfare and Recreation Community Recreation team at NAS Lemoore. As part of our team, you'll repair, maintain, and clean recreational equipment to meet accepted industry and customer standards as well as maintain parks, picnic, pavilion and green spaces. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Must pass all applicable records and background check. Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment. Must be able to work varied work schedules to include split days off, evenings, weekends, holidays and subject to recall. Must have a state issued driver's license. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain the following certifications within 90 days of hire: (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), First Aid, Program-specific certifications. Qualifications Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate must possess: Must have a minimum of two years' experience in equipment maintenance and repair. Must demonstrate ability to read and comprehend manuals and instructions used in repairing equipment. Knowledge and ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, analyze, and identify equipment problems and repair to industry standards. Level of knowledge and performance required is not that of a full performance engine or large equipment mechanic but must have strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical components for small motors and equipment requiring adjustment, calibration and preventive maintenance for optimum performance. Knowledge of record keeping related to preventative maintenance and inventory control. Knowledge of hand and power tools required for maintaining and repairing equipment. Knowlege of OSHA and HAZMAT principles, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies related to those areas. Skilled in use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to use job-related software. Ability to effectively facilitate staff and management equipment maintenance briefings. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be in good physical condition and able to lift and move objects exceeding 70 pounds Education Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional information Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Executive Order 12564 requires a Federal workplace free of illegal drugs. According to the Executive Order, all Federal employees are required to remain drug free throughout their employment. Commander, Navy Installations Command is a Drug-Free Federal Workplace. The use of illegal drugs will not be tolerated, and use of or intoxication by illegal drugs will result in penalties up to and including removal from Federal Service.
