Summary This position is located at Fort Stewart Pools. This vacancy is for multiple Aquatic facilities located on Fort Stewart, GA. Position will work outdoor pools in summer, working between 8:00 a.m. thru 6:00 p.m. and on weekends/holidays. May be required to work in all aquatics facilities to include indoor 6 am thru 8 pm and outdoor swimming pools. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Serves as a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools and works under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager. Provides maximum pool area surveillance and responds to emergencies; rescues pool patrons and administers first aid as required. Employs safety rules for the protection of the pool guests. Responsible for lifeguarding guests in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility. Assists in maintaining pool, and area clean and free from any hazards. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possesses and maintains the following certifications: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalenti.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS); American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the ProfessionalRescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED); Certifications must be uploaded at time of application.
