Summary
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.
Duties
What to Expect
Creates, designs, and develops the style of Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) web pages and sites, based on the most current trends in web design.
Develops graphic designs that effectively communicate the mission and objectives of MCCS events and programs.
Assists with developing and implementing marketing plans, strategies, programs, and provides guidance on information to be included on the website.
Uploads pages onto the site and integrates multimedia assets and applications into the site.
Develops page and site layouts and navigation, templates, style sheets, look and feel features, and communications aids such as surveys and forms.
Incorporates text, graphics, photos, objects, video, sounds, and all required media enhanced effects as required.
Researches site statistics and latest web trends in design and implementation.
Formulates strategies and plans for enhancing the site.
Determines appropriate file formats and settings to ensure that images are delivered to the viewer at sufficiently high speed and quality.
Manages links and cross promotions with other sites, ensuring that links are up to date.
Analyzes traffic statistics and reports on continuing basis relevant information.
Conducts site maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
This is a white collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What are we looking for?
Three years experience in designing web pages and/or sites incorporating graphics, text, and navigation.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a closely related field may be substituted for experience.
One year of education may be substituted for nine months of experience. A four year degree equals three years of experience.
Knowledge of Windows Operating System using Adobe Creative Suite programs (Dreamweaver, Flash, and Photoshop).
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, HTML, CSS (cascading style sheets), and the Adobe Creative Suite Family of design tools.
Ability to work well under the pressure of tight deadlines and changing demands.
Ability to work as a team player and independently with minimal supervision.
Must have effective writing and oral presentation skills and ability to communicate with all levels.
Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks in order to meet a constant flow of deadlines.
