Job Description

Nova-Tech Engineering has a full-time opportunity on our Customer Service Team for an Account Manager.
The Account Manager position works with customers, industry partners, and other team members to promote and support Nova-Tech Engineering’s products, technologies, and equipment utilization. This role is expected to manage customer accounts and provide excellent customer service. Account Managers travel to customers and visit accounts to perform customer training, product installations, maintenance, and overall support.

The ideal candidate will have an inquisitive personality and a strong desire to learn. The candidate will possess mechanical skills, be able to install equipment, and run tests while working closely with stakeholders and teaching others in the field.
 Summary of Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide account management, product and process validation, customer development, and product training to ensure growth in sales and profitability.
  • Deliver on opportunities to reduce operational cost while still meeting the needs of the customer.
  • Work with a variety of team members, customers, and industry partners.
  • Coordinate business travel and manage travel expenses, process expenses in a timely manner.
  • Travel and visit field research sites, domestically and/or internationally, for periods up to two weeks at a time and 14 weeks per year.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license in country of residence and maintain passport and proper documentation to travel domestically and internationally. (Records will be checked upon hire and annually thereafter.)
  • Follow and enforces company policies and procedures related to biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety, and all regulatory requirements.

The Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or related technical field is preferred; or four years of equivalent higher education and/or combination of education and technical experience.
  • Working knowledge and aptitude for poultry industry and biology is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Broad knowledge and skills in interpersonal communication, account management principles, and effective negotiation and influence skills.
  • Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal) skills in English. Proficiency in a second language is preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Effective self-management while traveling and in the office.
  • Ability to take on new and difficult challenges and risks.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical information applicable to the work in addition to company policies and procedures.
  • Team mentality, successfully participating in team projects to achieve objectives of the project.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, make recommendations, and implement effective solutions and courses of technical action.
  • Results orientated and takes pride in producing quality service.

Compensation Package:
Nova-Tech Engineering currently offers a benefits package consisting of: medical insurance, paid holidays, PTO, health savings account with company match options, vision and dental insurance, short and long term disability, and a 401K plan with an immediate 100% match of the first 5% of your wages. Benefit start DAY ONE! We also compensate full-time employees an additional 5 days of PTO during the Christmas and New Year holiday season.
