Accountant

Job Description: The Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association is looking for a full-time Accountant to join their growing team. This role will have a focus on accounts payable and monthly closing and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) for the medical practices and our real estate entity. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities: Accounts Payable: o Code invoices, expense reports, and checks received accurately o Schedule vendor payments o Resolve invoicing issues as required Closing/Accounting: o Perform bank account reconciliations o Reconcile credit card statements o Prepare journal entries o Ensure compliance with GAAP as well as internal controls o Support in preparing monthly financial statements o Create reports and other end-of-month tasks Other: o Support tax team by providing required information and answering questions o Perform analysis on expenses paid o Support Chief Financial Officer with analysis as needed o Assist with processing payroll (not required but significant plus) o Other responsibilities as required Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting • Strong attention to details • Experience working with systems and integrating systems • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities and maintain required supporting documentation • Self driven and self sufficient • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with Sage, Ottimate, and ADP a plus • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • 5 days a week in-person For questions or concerns, email Ali Gorson [email protected]
