Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery center team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical nursing, demonstrating expertise in aseptic technique and patient safety. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes during surgical procedures. Responsibilities • Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. • Assist in the operating room by maintaining a sterile environment and utilizing aseptic techniques throughout procedures. • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during surgery. • Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate smooth operations, including the management of instruments and supplies. • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to surgical procedures and patient care. • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in trauma medicine and other relevant areas. Qualifications • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice • Plastic surgery experience preferred • Experience in an Operating Room setting is required • Proficient in aseptic technique and committed to maintaining high standards of patient safety. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. • Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly while providing compassionate care to patients and their families.
