Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join RJ'S Family that has been in business for more than 25 years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards. • Perform double entry bookkeeping, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. • Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data. • Manage accrual accounting processes to ensure timely recognition of revenues and expenses. • Assist in the preparation of corporate finance reports and forecasts for strategic planning. • Provide support in wills, trusts, and estate law accounting matters as needed. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with internal policies. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting • Strong knowledge of debits and credits, as well as financial statement preparation. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools is a plus. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear reporting and collaboration.
