Accountant

Keystone Shipping Co. is currently looking for a full-time Accountant to support its accounting department in our Bala Cynwyd, PA location. This position will report to the Assistant Controller and work on maintaining accurate accounts for a fleet of government owned ships over multi-year contract periods. Candidates must meet the following qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, or related field • 5+ years of accounting experience • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks • Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment • High degree of attention to detail and multi-tasking • Strong time management and organizational skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Knowledge of Sage Intacct strongly preferred Job Responsibilities to include but not limited to: • Prepares internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing Information. • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports. • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts. • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures. • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed. • Request disbursements • Prepare payments by accruing expenses and assigning account numbers.
