Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in San Jose, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements for a banking organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of the institution while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals. Responsibilities: • Prepare and oversee regulatory reports, including call reports and submissions to relevant financial agencies. • Manage month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion. • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to support financial reporting. • Coordinate and facilitate financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with standards. • Review and post journal entries to ensure proper accounting treatment. • Assist in asset-liability management to support banking operations. • Collaborate with retail banking teams to align financial strategies and reporting. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and address any discrepancies. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision-making processes. • Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance. • Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and accounting practices. • Proficiency in account reconciliations and journal entry preparation. • Familiarity with asset-liability management within the banking sector. • Understanding of retail banking operations and their financial implications. • Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and trends. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and regulatory compliance.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
