Hours: Monday - Friday; 40 Hours a week; 8-9 AM through 4:30-5:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Obtain insurance verification, authorization, and precertification for physician and hospital services
• Insurance Verifiers pre-register and register patients, enter demographic data, schedule patient appointments, etc.
• Insurance Verifiers contact insurances via phone and online insurance payer portals
• Insurance Verifiers update patient accounts with registration, insurance, demographic, scheduling, and billing data
• Insurance Verifiers provide superior high volume patient customer service in a fast paced environment
• Insurance Verifiers use Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook/Power Point), medical software, insurance payer portals, and type 40+WPM

Requirements

• 1+ years experience obtaining insurance verification, authorization, and precertification for physician and hospital services
• Insurance Verifiers must have experience pre-registering and registering patients, entering demographic data, and scheduling patient appointments

• Insurance Verifiers must have experience contacting insurances via phone and online insurance payer portals
• Insurance Verifiers must have experience updating patient accounts with registration, insurance, demographic, scheduling, and billing data
• Insurance Verifiers must have high volume in person and phone patient customer service experience

• Insurance Verifiers demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook), insurance payer portals, electronic medical records (EMR) software
• Insurance Verifiers demonstrate ability to type 40+WPM required (alphanumeric & 10-key typing)
