Elite Learning is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and educational after-school program for children. As anAfter School Teacher,you will play a crucial role in implementing our program curriculum, creating a positive environment, and fostering a rewarding experience for both children and their parents.
Please Note:This position will begin onAugust 12, aligning with the start of the upcoming new school year.
After-School Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
Friday:12:30 PM to 6:00 PM
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Implement Program Curriculum:
• Develop and execute engaging lesson plans and activities that align with the educational goals of the program.
• Tailor curriculum to meet the diverse developmental needs and interests of children, promoting holistic growth.
Create a Safe and Engaging Environment:
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all children under your care.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to explore and learn.
Actively Participate and Interact:
• Engage with children during activities, encouraging participation and facilitating positive social interactions.
• Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a harmonious environment.
Maintain Positive Communication:
• Establish clear lines of communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and any relevant information.
• Collaborate effectively with school staff, sharing insights and coordinating efforts to support the overall well-being of students.
Serve as a Role Model:
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm in your interactions with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Model positive behaviors and attitudes, serving as an inspiration for children to emulate.
Professional Development:
• Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay current with industry best practices.

Requirements:
• Age and Education:
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Higher education in a child-related field is desirable.
• Background Check:
• Successfully pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting process to ensure the safety of children.
• First Aid/CPR Certification:
• Possess current First Aid and CPR certification or demonstrate a willingness to obtain certification prior to employment.
• Availability:
• Be available to work from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday, with early dismissal on Fridays, to accommodate the after-school program schedule.
• Child Care Background:
• Previous experience or education in child care, early childhood education, or a related field is preferred.
Technology Literacy:
• Proficiency in basic technology skills and the ability to adapt to and utilize new programs or software relevant to the role.
• Physical Requirements:
• Capable of lifting and moving supplies to after-school sites as needed.
• Ability to actively engage with children and manage behavioral challenges in a physically demanding environment.
