Responsibilities

• Provide information and documentation to the supervisors/managers.
• Provide services with respect to complex fund transactions.
• Ability to follow established accounting guidelines and assist with planning by gathering information.
• Interact with all levels within the organization and at clients.
• Demonstrate needed knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards and techniques to complete assignments in a timely manner with supervision.
• Demonstrate ability to prepare basic financial reports and simple footnote disclosures with supervision.
• Prepare clear and complete working papers in accordance with Marcum’s policies and engagement management directions.
• Responsive on a timely basis to client questions and requests.
• Keep current on professional pronouncements
• Put forthright a diligent effort to pass CPA exam and advance technical knowledge.
• Proactively participate in professional development opportunities, i.e. Mentoring Program.
• Act as a representative for Marcum and aids in identifying and recruiting candidates into our firm.

Qualifications

• BBA/BS/MS in Accounting
• Eligible to sit for the CPA
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
