Application Architect-zOS-Sydney-14 months FTH

Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect you directly help clients transform their business  and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms.  You are a technical leader serving as a liaison among business partners technical resources and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting Application Architect-zOS for 14 months fixed term contract based in Sydney.

The Application Development team is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of enhancements. As an Application Developer your responsibilities include –

• Work in different mainframe services like scheduling performance management batch CICS backup and restore process.
• Work in advanced analytical tools like ADDI for analysing mainframe applications.
• Work as an application consultant for various payments applications within CBA.
• Involve in architectural solution design development and technical reviews for payments application to ensure all standards are followed.
• Involve in automation and tool development for mainframe applications including ZOWE.
• Manage and ownership for deliverables of multiple mainframe batch projects for payments applications within CBA.
• Participate in client meetings to update the status and provide demo on new initiatives.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills –

• Minimum 16+ years of Experience on Mainframe applications including Batch and online process with technical skills like Cobol JCL VSAM CICS etc.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in using latest analytical tools like ADDI.
• Experience in creating automations for mainframe applications using Rexx and Clist as key skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Experience in Banking and finance domain with good understanding on payments and POS transactions switch processing.
• Certified and understanding of mainframe automation tools like ZOWE.
• Certified on AWS and understanding of cloud a nice-to-have.
