Your Role and Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting Application Developer – IBM Cloud FullStack for a 18 months fixed term contract based in Sydney Australia.

1. Role and Responsibility:

The Application Development team is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of enhancements. As an Application Developer your responsibilities include –

• Assist in creating NPP -Domestic and GPP -Internation Payments solutions and providing best technical designs to client for their domestic and international payments ecosystem.
• Manage the technical aspects of a project such as writing code making architectural decisions and ensuring code quality.
• Implementing best practices and coding standards to ensure code is generated according to coding standards and prepare unit test plans specifications and data.
• Work with project managers and product owners to understand project requirements estimate effort and define project timelines.
• Examine tasks and projects logically to identify problems solutions and execution strategies.
• Production release management and production support for new implementations on regular basis.
• Participate in client meetings/scrums to communicate status or give demos Also Participate in daily code reviews to offer insight and ask questions to developers and do brainstorming to improve quality and process.

B) Required Experienced

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Australia Payment System specializing in PayTo Payments (Payers and Billers) and Mandate Management flows deploying Streaming-APIs and Event-Driven APIs using the Apache-Kafka Subscriber/Consumer model.
• Hands-on experience with Docker Azure Service Mesh Azure Cloud Azure Kubernetes Azure API Gateway and various Hybrid Cloud technologies like HPaaS.
• Proficient and have in-depth knowledge of implementation of NPP products- OSKO BPAY PayTo Mandate Processing.
• In-depth knowledge of implementing PayId and Alias processing like registration deregistration notification.
• In-depth knowledge of Payment ISO-Messages creation and parsing in Java for Payment Initiation process eg. Pain.001 Pain.002 Pain.007 and Payment Settlement messages eg Pacs.002Pacs.008 and Customer notification eg CAMT iso messages.
• Proficient and have in-depth knowledge of implementation of IHVP and GPP products along with understanding to AMH GPP-Fusion.
• Experience in Service Virtualization using Mockoon and Wire mock along with Contract-testing of Swagger and OpenAPI3.0
• Proficient in implementing PayTo Payments for Billers Payer and Business Payer and able to understand and implement Mandate Management Services externally.
• Proficient in designing and implementing NPP Confirmation of Payee for Creditor and Debtor to avoid fraudulent payments.
• Strong expertise with products such as IBM Developer for z/OS Enterprise Edition (IDzEE) Application Delivery Foundation for z/OS (ADFz) Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI) GitHub/GitLab IBM DBB Jenkins Artifactory IDEs (Eclipse/VS Code) Wazi (Deployment) Ansible and more.
• Expertise in Streaming-APIs and Event-Driven APIs using Apache Kafka Subscriber/Consumer model and Confluent Cloud Topic Server.
• As an experienced API Chapter Lead at Westpac proficient in designing and developing standard API specifications using Kafka-Topic AVRO scripts Swagger 2.0 and Open API 3.0.
• Hands-on experience with Distributed Tracing using Zipkin and Splunk Observability tools in cloud payment architectures.
• Proficient in Circuit Breaker Aggregator SAGA and CQRS design patterns with practical implementation in Westpac APIs.
• Over 5 years of experience with Event-Driven Architectures using Apache Kafka/Confluent Cloud and Topics.
• Nearly 5 years of experience in designing and developing Streaming APIs API Microservices Service Proxy API Partner Proxy API and Web Services (SOAP & REST) using Spring Cloud Spring WebFlux Spring Boot OpenJDK 11 and Circuit Breaker.
• Over 10 years of solid experience with Java (J2EE JDK 1.8 17 21) Java MQ and expertise in Memory Management and Multithreading.
• Extensive knowledge of Spring Boot Spring Microservices Microservices Design Patterns Spring MVC Spring JPA SOA Architecture Hibernate Maven Oracle DB Oracle XML DB UNIX and Agile Work Methodology.
• Over 4 years of experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS and Azure) Docker Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Proficient in Oracle and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
