We live by core values, they include: • All One Safe Team • We Tell It Straight • Zero Punch • We Set the Standard • Passionate for What We Do Job Purpose: The project engineer role exists to support the project management team in ensuring Division 10 projects are executed with precision, quality, and within the established schedule and budget. The Project Engineer will leverage Procore to coordinate and manage project information, maintain compliance, and assist with project reporting and communication. Responsibilities/Duties: Project Documentation Management • Use Procore to organize and manage all project documents, drawings, RFIs, and submittals. • Ensure that all relevant project documents are up-to-date and accessible to team members. • Assist in the review and processing of project documentation for accuracy and completeness. RFI and Submittal Coordination • Create, track, and manage RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals in Procore. • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely responses. • Review RFI and submittal responses to confirm alignment with project specifications and standards. Project Schedule Support • Collaborate with the Project Manager to monitor and update the project schedule in Procore. • Track key milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure on-time project progress. • Identify potential scheduling conflicts or delays and communicate them to the project team. Quality Control and Assurance • Support quality control processes by documenting inspections, reworks, and adjustments in Procore. • Conduct field observations to confirm adherence to Division 10 specifications and project standards. • Assist in resolving any quality-related issues, working closely with the project team. Budget and Cost Tracking • Track project expenditures, purchase orders, and change orders in Procore to assist in budget management. • Regularly review project costs against budget and report any discrepancies to the Project Manager. • Assist in preparing financial reports and projections for the project team. Safety and Compliance • Ensure all safety documentation is accessible and regularly updated in Procore. • Coordinate with the safety team to document incidents, safety meetings, and compliance measures. • Act as a point of contact for safety-related concerns and contribute to maintaining a safe worksite. Client and Stakeholder Communication • Maintain regular communication with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project progress. • Use Procore to provide updates, generate reports, and facilitate collaboration with stakeholders. • Support the Project Manager in conducting meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes. * Competencies: Technical Proficiency in Procore - Proficient in all relevant Procore modules, including document management, RFI/submittal tracking, scheduling, and budgeting. - Ability to train others on Procore processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Attention to Detail - Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation, quality control, and cost tracking. - Ensures that all project information is managed and updated correctly in Procore. Time Management and Prioritization - Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet project timelines. - Can adapt to changing project needs and respond quickly to potential delays or issues. Problem-Solving and Initiative - Proactive in identifying and addressing project issues, using creative problem-solving skills. - Takes initiative in coordinating with team members to resolve problems efficiently. Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally. - Comfortable interacting with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members. Collaboration and Teamwork - Works well with diverse project teams and departments, building positive working relationships. - Demonstrates a collaborative approach, supporting the Project Manager and other team members effectively. Analytical Thinking - Skilled in analyzing project data and metrics to ensure adherence to budget, quality, and schedule requirements. - Uses data from Procore to generate reports, identify trends, and provide insights to the project team. Adaptability and Learning Agility - Flexible and able to adjust to new processes, technologies, or project changes as needed. - Demonstrates a willingness to learn and improve, staying current on Procore updates and construction best practices. Qualifications: - Previous experience in project management or construction administration is REQUIRED. - Field experience is PREFERRED over strictly office experience. - Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft 360, Plangrid, Procore, OST, Quick Bid). - Strong organizational abilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
