Global Supply Chain General Description

Eli Lilly's Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization is responsible to guarantee reliable supply of our products worldwide and to successfully launch new products to satisfy unmet medical needs for patients. This is accomplished through an end-to-end orchestrated planning and supply network that is enabled by next gen SAP systems, Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (DDMRP) and enhanced supply chain management.

One of the Global Supply Chain Organization missions is to establish robust processes across all the supply nodes. With the company growth there is an increasing need to provide better support to our manufacturing sites around the globe through the improvement of training structure and consistency as well as the reinforcement of practices of Operational Supply Chain standards.

Position Brand Description:

The GSC Transformation Team designs and sets standards of Eli Lilly's supply chain processes. The Associate Director - Global Supply Chain responsible for Learning and Development serves as one of the business process owners on the GSC Transformation Team. Reporting to the Senior Director GSC Transformation the position works closely with the peer process owners in the team to deliver innovative transformation to the global supply chain organization and to improve performance across all supply chain functions at manufacturing sites and affiliates worldwide.

The purpose of the GSC Learning and Development process owner is to develop learning & development business processes, driving process improvement initiatives and maintain learning & development metrics across the supply chain organization at Eli Lilly. This position supports business processes that ensure personnel in GSC, at manufacturing Sites and at Affiliates are qualified and capable of performing their job responsibilities along the supply chain. This role will be accountable to re-design and support the implementation of the learning and development standards and procedures of the organization.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Business Process Ownership
  • Define global supply chain business processes for learning and development across all manufacturing networks (API, parenteral, and dry products) and within GSC in close partnership with the Global Manufacturing and Quality Learning and Development organization
  • Manage the Supply Chain Capability Roadmap
  • Lead, oversee and prioritize the development of all modes of training to support Global training needs
  • Provide regular training metrics on all compliance training and respond to ad hoc requests
  • Source the right solution for training needs & evaluating development activities in conjunction with internal and external suppliers
  • Develop globally consistent training materials utilizing a blended training approach, incorporating both classroom and web-based delivery
  • Improve content of Global Training program(s) and associated materials to support compliance needs.
  • Maintain training material, curricula and training assignments to roles of the supply chain
  • Provide support in coordinating & delivering face to face training sessions
  • Training budget Management


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Organizational Behavior or related field with supply chain experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree related to business/supply chain/logistics with learning and development experience
  • 5+ years of industry experiences (supply chain or learning/development)

Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Learning and Development, Supply Chain and Pharma Industry. A minimum of 5 years successful and progressively responsible experience leading learning and development organizations
  • Hands-on experience coordinating and delivering multiple training events
  • A well-developed understanding of Adult Learning Theories, generational strategies
  • Experienced in performance consulting, instructional design, training management and delivery, understanding impact of training to users.
  • General understanding of the concepts and tools of project management.
