Job Responsibilities :

The Associate Director of Software Project Management is responsible for driving technical execution and schedules between internal engineering teams, global marketing teams, and external strategic partners like Microsoft, Philips Hue, and more. This is a high visibility role, working on global launches, but also requires attention to detail as a project manager driving timelines and managing the budget with engineering, product, and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage software engineering schedules.
• Collaborate with Product Developers/Product Managers to ensure product feature requests are clearly defined for engineering execution.
• Align across 3 different engineering teams and various Project Managers to lead software execution planning as one program. Manage an executive level view of the entire program’s schedule and updates.  
• Lead software integration/collaboration planning with strategic partners like Microsoft, Philips Hue, Apple, THX, etc.
• Coordinate with various Project Managers and engineering teams to forecast and track engineering project budgets.
• Act as liaison between marketing, product, and engineering teams, especially for major events (conferences) and product launches.  
• Manage ongoing engineering planning to identify schedule risks, mitigate roadblocks, and lead the engineering teams to deliver on schedule.  
• Project Manage software Open Beta programs when they are open.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a project manager of software or equivalent role working with software development.
• Launched at least 2 well-known public IP or public-facing initiatives on known software products / platforms.
• Experience managing software schedules with agile development processes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
• Self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage, collaborate, leverage and thrive in a fast-paced matrix environment.
• Strong management and presentation skills. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to communicate conceptually and tactically - including strategy, planning, data insights and execution details.
• Gamer and game industry experience preferred.
