Your Role and Responsibilities
Software development is critical to the success of IBM and our clients worldwide. At IBM you will use the latest software development tools techniques and approaches and work with leading minds in the industry to build solutions you can be proud of.

This opportunity is for a new data product that IBM intends to bring to the market in 2023. We are looking for seasoned professionals who are passionate about data familiar with data warehouse data lake and data lake house products currently in the market.

Professionals who are already active in open source communitites linked to these products or are active followers of such communities will have an added advantage in our hiring process

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 15+ years of experience leading large teams and exposure to large system integrations. Prior experience as a Designer Architect Technical lead with strong team leading skills are preferred
• Experience working with Linux or Unix based OS
• Strong development experience in Java and object-oriented programming . Experience in GO Python RUST will be a good to have technnical know-how.
• Strong development experience with REST API development
• Advanced level of knowledge and expericence on scripting language (shell script bash script)
• Working knowledge in Container technologies: Kubernetes Docker
• Working knowledge on OpenShift
• Experience with containers containers orchestration software cloud platforms
• Experienced with tools such as GitHub
  Experience automating infrastructure testing and deployments using tools like Jenkins
• Strong understanding of diverse infrastructure platforms & concepts
• Experience with Microservices Architecture and design.
  Strong Understanding of tools like Jenkins Travis and Github.
• Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM-based environment
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing)
• Excellent communicator

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with AI & ML Technologies
• Experience with Data Engineering Data Governance Data Management
• AWS or IBM Cloud expertise
• Awareness or past experience in Big Data technologies Spark streaming data
• Track record of open source contributions
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems or equivalent
