Backend Engineer

Sightline Payments is seeking an experienced Golang Engineer to join our team. Ideal candidates will thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous start-up environments. Our white-label apps have been downloaded more than 5 million times and are used by approximately 100 casino properties to engage with their guests, increase brand loyalty, and increase the ROI of each guest visit. Our platform helps casinos market to players more effectively using geofencing, gamification, micro-location, and more. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Specify, Design, Architect, Implement, Test, Deploy, Support the Joingo solution.
• Provide technical leadership, brainpower, assistance to the customer facing team and sales team as needed.
• Implement solutions on top of a Linux, Golang, MySQL) stack, and connect them to Enterprise CRM and operation management systems.
• Troubleshoot and support live customer operations.
• BS/BE in Computer Science or Related Field is preferred.
• Proven Track Record as a hands-on contributor to product or consulting development projects with a minimum of 2 years in a Golang environment.
• Proven ability to take ownership of tasks assigned
• Analytical skills, ability to see the big picture and move concepts to implementation
• Ability to write high quality, customer appropriate communications.
• Experience working in a startup environment is a huge plus
• Must be highly self-motivated and thrive working remotely (as part of a team).
• Ability to understand customer technical architecture, Install Joingo Patron Server, perform system integrations, and manage all technical conversations with customers, and provide solutions that satisfies the customer.
• Command of Golang stack and experience writing code for REST systems in that environment.
• Experience with common server-side technologies (MySQL, SQLite, SQLServer) and virtual server experience (AWS, Azure, Slicehost, Linode) a plus

Benefits

This role is offering a base salary in the range of $120,000-$140,000 annually, depending on experience. The top end of the range will be reserved for candidates with both a strong gaming system operations and payment processing backgrounds. There is the potential to earn up to an additional 15% annually in bonus. Our benefits start on the 1st of the month after the start date and include unlimited PTO, up to a 3% match on 401K contributions, paid parental leave, and a robust health benefits package with 90% of the employee portion covered.
