The Opportunity
The Applications Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex applications and systems that directly support organizational operations at BioWound Solutions. This role requires not only expertise in systems engineering but also hands-on management of critical enterprise applications, including NetSuite (ERP), Salesforce (CRM), MasterControl (QMS), and other business-critical systems. The Applications Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between business applications, hardware, software, and network components, with a focus on improving efficiency, compliance, and scalability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary administrator and technical lead for NetSuite, Salesforce, MasterControl, and other enterprise applications.
• Configure, customize, and optimize applications to align with business processes and compliance requirements.
• Manage integrations between ERP, CRM, QMS, and additional platforms to ensure smooth and accurate data flow.
• Partner with Finance, Quality, Sales, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into system functionality.
• Oversee application upgrades, patching, user provisioning, and license management.
• Design, develop, and deploy system architectures to support organizational goals.
• Analyze system requirements and implement solutions that align with operational needs.
• Oversee system installation, configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure system security and integrity through proactive monitoring, regular updates, and adherence to best practices.
• Work closely with software developers, network engineers, and IT staff to optimize system and application performance.
• Provide end-user support and conduct training sessions for application adoption and best practices.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, integrations, processes, and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments for systems and applications, recommending mitigation strategies to minimize vulnerabilities.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements for application management and system infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Applications Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Enterprise Applications Specialist.
• Demonstrated expertise in administration and management of NetSuite, Salesforce, MasterControl, and other enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of systems architecture, networking, and information security principles.
• Proficiency in systems analysis, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• This position does not typically include supervisory responsibilities but may involve mentoring junior IT team members or managing external contractors/vendors as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications such as NetSuite Administrator, Salesforce Administrator/Developer, or MasterControl Certified Implementation Professional are highly desirable.
• Additional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Security+ are considered an advantage.
• This is an in-office role requiring daily on-site presence.
• Primarily an office environment with some work in data centers or server rooms.
• Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required to perform application/system upgrades or respond to urgent incidents.
• Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability, prioritization, and effective time management.
Compensation
$90,000.00-$100,000.00 salary per year
