Job Description

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Wix, you’ll collaborate with various teams each quarter on targeted and strategic projects, adapting quickly and bringing your high-level expertise to make significant contributions. In your day-to-day, you will:

• Adapt to the coding styles of different teams, ensuring seamless integration and building trust

• Work with a variety of AI platforms and tools

• Be fully hands-on with Scala, Java, and Node.js

• Collaborate closely with other teams and product managers to lead complex projects

• Enjoy rapid professional growth by tackling unique challenges and delivering key projects

Qualifications

• A Backend Engineer with 3+ years of experience

• Experience collaborating with product managers, UX specialists, and stakeholders

• Strong communication skills in English

• Able to transition smoothly between platforms to meet diverse needs

• Committed to delivering consistent, timely results, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and within tough deadlines

• Enthusiastic about solving critical business problems and conceiving unconventional solutions, but also prioritizing simple solutions

• Ready to engage in very important projects every quarter, meeting stringent timelines with excellence

We are Wix's Backend Engineering Guild. We provide integrated tools for microservice development within Wix to help improve developer productivity and best practices. These tools streamline the development process and reduce cognitive load allowing Wix engineers to concentrate on their domain, architecture, and business logic. To handle high-scale traffic (over 500B HTTP requests per day) and 500+ daily deployments, our team of 500 backend engineers runs production across 19 distributed data centers and cloud vendors worldwide.

Salary range is 4000 - 8000 Eur GROSS / month (Total package, including equity)
