Lili is Seeking an Experienced Banking Risk Operations Team Leader to Join our Growing NYC Team.

About the Role

As a Banking Risk Operations Team Leader, you will join a fast-growing business unit that supports all back-office banking risk operations functions, with a focused concentration on account-related transactional dispute claims, robust and proactive transaction monitoring, mobile deposit processes, ACH payment transactions, and investigation into negative balance accounts. The Team Leader role is directly responsible for assigned teammates professional growth, usage of data analytics to support the business operations, personal development, daily productivity monitoring, overall performance and measured contributions to business and the entire organization. 

This team leader role requires the ideal candidate to effectively work cross-functionally with various business partners, both internal and external to the company, while also supporting teams both domestically and abroad. The Banking Risk Operations Team Leader is an integral part of the NY leadership team that is focused on assisting Lili’s customers, developing teammates skills, providing timely coaching and feedback, managing compliance with designated KPI metrics, and providing guidance around driving operating efficiencies and overall operating improvements.


Responsibilities

  • Ownership of all Banking Risk Operations related responsibilities impacting Lili’s customers. This will include management, governance and oversight on dispute claims, mobile deposit reviews and decisioning, transaction monitoring, assessing, adjusting robust rules, customer communication and detailed investigation into negative balances.
  • The candidate should have strong analytical skills, with SQL a core competency in an effort to conduct data driven analysis, and creation of measurable actions. 
  • Management of Risk Operations team members, including hiring, coaching, day to day leading, quality assurance reviews, performance management and evaluations
  • Liaison between Lili Banking Risk Operations and its core payment processing partner for all product-related updates testing supporting new or enhanced functions and features.
  • Develop, maintain sustainable productive and overall positive relationships with our sponsor bank partners. 
  • Manage detailed oversight into all possible dispute and fraud related risks, to include supporting detailed research on regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience working in banking/payment processing and risk operations-related roles, to include within a leadership capacity.
  • BA or BS degree; MBA or another advanced graduate degree a plus
  • Strong analytical, data driven assessments, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as required.
  • Fintech experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with LLC/DBA, business accounts is essential component of the role
  • Passion for promoting a culture of a customer-first risk-based model.A strong desire to work for a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience; experience with Zendesk a plus.
