Body Systems Engineer

Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:

1)Work on Czinger vehicle body systems engineering and design. 

2)Supervise the design and construction of the window regulator mechanism and supervise the glazing systems. 

3)Lead closure testing activities and trouble-shoot any issues that are documented. 

4)Work with door design and assembly activities. 

5)Manage suppliers to comply with testing, quality, and functional requirements. 

6)Design HVAC system integration with the closures (sealing, covers, ducts in 3D print and molded technology). 

7)For the exterior systems team, design body panels in composite or 3D printed materials, control and cut fixtures. 

8)Responsible for design of the wheels aero package (Inboard and Outboard) in collaboration with the Suspension and Aerodynamics team. 

9)Collaborate with the interior systems team and design interior panels in composite or 3D printed materials, control and cut fixtures.

Qualifications:

•Education: Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or closely related field.

•Experience: At least FIVE (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or at least FIVE (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the following:

1.Automotive industry research and development

2.Design engineering with composite materials

3.Design engineering for window regulators, including implementation, motor selection, glassdrop, speed calculation, kinematic analysis, sealing interaction, door modules, and panels design.

4.Catia 

5. I-DEAS NX

6.Solidworks

7.Autocad
