The RoleIn this role, the Business Development Account Manager will report to our Vice President of Business Development. This person will work to build strategic relationships and educate potential partners on the benefits of working with SimplyInsured. Grow and maintain a pipeline of prospective patterns through an outbound effort. Manage inbound questions and inquiries. Work cross-functionally with internal and external team members to provide an exceptional experience to our partners.Â
Responsibilities
- Saturation of newly built partnerships by identifying, qualifying and communicating with new strategic partners. Â
- Utilize various reporting and traveling techniquesÂ
- Understand our partners’ strategic priorities, challenges, and internal roadmaps; regularly communicate insights and strategic recommendations to SimplyInsured product stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for partnerships to fill product gaps or create net new business opportunities
- Design and implement strategies and processes that will enable us to scale our commerce partnerships and increase our velocity as a team
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, partner management or revenue growth via partnership
- Strong negotiation and communication skills and ability to mentor others on how to be effective in negotiations
- Experience defining and executing first of kind partnerships and strategies to build innovative product experiences
- Highly analytical with the ability to consume, process, and transform large data sets into actionable insights
- Experience working with financial models, understanding the various inputs that will influence ROI, and incorporate those insights into deal planning and management
- Familiarity with standard deal structures and ability to review and analyze contracts
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to distill complex issues into the structured framework and concrete plans
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with great attention to detail; the flexibility to accommodate global partners in different time zones
- Strong decision making skills and the ability to prioritize through competing demands and complex problems
