About the Role

We are looking for a strategic, resourceful, and analytical Business Development Manager to drive partnerships with agents and higher education institutions in Vietnam. 

You will help define Duolingo English Test's go-to-market partnership strategy in Vietnam and take a structured and proactive approach to implementation. You will play an integral role in growing this business from 0-to-1 in the country. The ideal candidate fluidly toggles between strategy and execution and excels in a fast feedback-loop environment.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development for the Duolingo English Test, this is a remote-friendly position that can be based ideally in Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi. 

You will..

• Define and execute a partnership strategy in Vietnam, including mapping partners such as Study Abroad Agents and High Schools, Universities who would be interested in working with an English Proficiency Test. 
• Work with government agencies, where applicable, to enable recognition of the Duolingo English Test, among educational institutions domestically.

• Deep understanding of the study abroad ecosystem in Vietnam. 
• Familiarity with domestic education institutions and their EPT requirements
• Connections with relevant government agencies in Vietnam 
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with rapid iteration, hands-on execution
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Self-starter capable of working remotely and independently
