Advantest is looking for an individual for a non-technical position in a progressive work environment while providing exceptional customer and planning support in an efficient, accurate and professional manner to key customers within North, Central and South America. The ideal candidate will join our team in Austin, TX and will possess self-starting and self-motivating characteristics while multi-tasking to manage routine tasks with excellent responsiveness and customer focus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support customer requests by phone and email by conducting tasks such as the recording of service requests, placement of part orders, confirming and communicating shipment and/or return details and proactively providing notification of any changes
  • Provide new hardware post-sales planning and support to include managing requirements and content gathering for new projects; implement solutions by monitoring project progress; tracking action items; examining, researching, and resolving issues; escalating issues to the appropriate authority; identifying work process improvements
  • Manage internal/external customer expectations by building relationships; communicating project status and open issues; preparing reports; conducting meetings
  • Support and process quote to cash activities to include quote generation, order management and revenue recognition
  • Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally
  • Can handle and deliver on competing priorities and deliverables to meet customer and business needs
  • Must be detail oriented, able to work independently and within an evolving team environment, be adaptable in understanding difficult processes and be comfortable speaking to both internal and external customers in a professional manner
  • Experience exercising independent judgement and discretion
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills, including the ability to react to and implement change
  • Continuously improving product and process knowledge using our self-help and training resources
  • Be a collaborative teammate, sharing knowledge and learning from others while working through challenges

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the customer support or account management fields
  • Experience in understanding and meeting monthly, quarterly and fiscal year financial objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated basic computing skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word)

Additional Skills Preferred:

  • Implementation plan support
  • Oracle ERP systems knowledge
  • Atlassian JIRA systems knowledge
