Business Systems Analyst III - Innovation

BASIC PURPOSE : Hands on identification, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies and processes related to the store and customer experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for facilitation of the identification of new technologies and processes including oversight of proof-of-concept executions. Role will be responsible for identifying, developing, testing, and implementing new technologies and assisting in the development of troubleshooting and support processes.

Essential Responsibilities

• Promote innovation and facilitate discussions that encourage creative thinking
• Research and familiarity with new and cutting-edge technologies that can positively impact business
• Establish and execute idea generation meetings with internal users and stakeholders
• Define proof-of-concept to Project steps for vetted solutions
• Management and oversight of innovation proof-of-concept initiatives
• Meet with stakeholders on regular basis to understand their needs and expectations
• Maintain and publish status of all in-progress technology evaluations
• Conduct continuous improvement reviews of existing technologies and processes
• Document and communicate costs, benefits, technical solutions, and implementation strategies
• Establish measurements to track ideas and improvement opportunities
• Assist business aligned teams in the creation of Innovation Road Maps
• Partner with project requestor, stakeholders, and project delivery team to ensure continuity and progress towards a common set of requirements/goals
• Serve as point of reference through various project discoveries to represent customer, store, and payments technology platforms with a goal of reducing redundancy.
• Develop, configure, and implement new technologies in the customer and store areas
• Provide technical support to core technologies that are in the Production ecosystem or in the proof-of-concept stages
• Clearly document technical specifications and articulate varying viewpoints of project strategy and necessity throughout evaluation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  • • HS Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or business or other related field or equivalent experience and/or certification preferred
• Experience:
  • • 3-5 years' experience in store, retail, or customer technology solutions
    • 5-7 years' experience in project management and business analysis activities
    • Experience in the following areas of focus a plus: NCR/Retalix POS suite of products, SAP, AJB Software, ACI Postilion, QSR software (Xpient, Par Brink), or other ERP packages (Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Skills:
  • Knowledge of databases, system integration skills, programming languages , development experience in both Windows and Web environments , SDLC, batch scripting, and data reporting structures is a plus.
  • Experience in the following areas of focus a plus: ACI Postilion, AJB Software, Retalix POS suite of products, Xpient, Par Brink, ERP packages (SAP, Oracle), mobile applications, and BI tools.
  • Outstanding communication skills, technical writing, analytical aptitude, business acumen, client focus, problem solving skills and technical initiative are required
  • Proficiently u nderstands customer requirements; easily troubleshoots and solves problems with minimal to no supervision and direction; adept at researching and making fact-based, data backed decisions; highly skilled at developing relationships outside of IT
  • Ability to manage numerous competing demands in an extremely high stress environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
