Cabinet Builder & Installer / Carpenter

We specialize in disaster related to water, fire, pack out, mold, textiles and reconstruction. We are the largest ServiceMaster company in the state of Texas, and we are continuing to grow. Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Carpenter, Cabinet Builder / Installer, or Handyman for our Reconstruction / Rebuild Department. Job Type: Full Time, year round Pay: $20 to $25 per hour Responsibilities • Work in the field, on residential and commercial projectsunder the direction of Construction Manager or Project Managers • Must be able to rebuild cabinets that have been removedwith or without provided measurements. Must be able to determine specs from existing cabinets in order to rebuild, often using existing face frames. • General construction, finish carpentry, drywall repair or install, cabinet install or removal, painting, and general repairs • Ability to work both independently and with other team members tocomplete projects on time and to customer's satisfaction • Effectively and proactively communicatewith co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget • Perform other assigned tasks and dutiesnecessary to support the Reconstruction department Required Qualifications • 2+ years verifiable handyman experience • Fluent in English - reading, writing, communicating • Basic math skills related to construction • Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 50 pounds • Ability to walk, stand, and operate machinery continuously throughout the work day • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation • Ability and willingness to follow all safety rules and regulations and to maintain a safe and clean work environment • Strong work ethic and desire to learn new skills • Experience with restoration is a plus Schedule • Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm • Some evenings or weekends as needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Why are you leaving the position you're currently at?
