Carpenter

Overview We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in the construction and restoration industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. This role involves working on construction sites, focusing on projects that may include water damage restoration, drywall installation, siding, concrete forming, and construction painting. Duties • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. • Measure, cut, and shape materials according to specifications using hand tools and power tools. • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes. • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on-site to ensure project completion. • Perform restoration tasks related to water damage, including assessing damage and executing repairs. • Fabricate custom pieces as needed for specific projects. • Install drywall, siding, and other materials as required by project specifications. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times. Skills • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry. • Knowledge of construction site practices and safety protocols. • Experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory. • Ability to plumb structures accurately to ensure proper alignment. • Familiarity with drywall installation techniques and materials. • Skills in siding installation and repair. • Experience with concrete forming for various applications. • Basic understanding of construction painting techniques.
