Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various carpentry tasks and construction processes. This role requires a hands-on approach to building, repairing, and maintaining structures, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and safety regulations. The Carpenter/Laborer will work closely with other tradespeople and contribute to a variety of projects, from residential renovations to commercial builds.
Duties
• Perform trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and cabinet installation as required by project specifications.
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute construction plans.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
• Assist in concrete forming, plastering, siding, roofing, and flooring installation.
• Engage in water damage restoration and mold remediation efforts as needed.
• Conduct fixture installation, door hanging, caulking, and stucco work to enhance the quality of finished projects.
• Participate in heavy lifting tasks and ensure proper handling of materials on the construction site.
• Collaborate with team members on rebar installation, metal stud framing, and other specialized tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
• Proven experience in the construction industry with a focus on carpentry is preferred.
• Familiarity with construction estimating techniques is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with woodworking, assembly, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, remodeling, tile laying, and construction painting is beneficial.
• Previous involvement in the restoration industry or related fields will be considered an asset.
