Carpenter / problem solver

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and versatile Problem Solver to join our team. This role is essential for addressing various challenges in construction and restoration projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes while maintaining safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in carpentry, construction, and restoration, along with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Duties • Assess and troubleshoot issues on construction sites, providing effective solutions to ensure project completion. • Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and fixture installation. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately. • Perform concrete forming, plastering, masonry, and drywall installation as needed. • Conduct water damage restoration and mold remediation tasks with attention to detail. • Engage in heavy lifting and physical labor associated with construction projects. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols. • Participate in cabinet installation, door hanging, siding work, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and other maintenance person services as required. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects. Qualifications • Proven experience in construction or the restoration industry is preferred. • Proficiency in carpentry techniques including woodworking, metal stud framing, and cabinet installation. • Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project management principles. • Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Experience with plumbing, electrical work, rebar installation, caulking, stucco application, and construction painting is advantageous. • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they escalate. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. • Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods on job sites.
