Carpenter/Laborer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our construction team. We want someone to grow long term within a small General Contracting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks and a passion for building and remodeling. This role involves working on diverse projects, including trim carpentry, rough framing, various door installations, demolition removal and trash clean up, and finish spackle and caulk. The Carpenter/Laborer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards on the construction site. Duties • Perform all phases of general construction • Be reliable and accountable • Perform trim carpentry tasks, including installation of moldings and baseboards. • Demolition work and trash clean up. Drive trash truck to and from dump yard • Fabricate custom wooden and steel structures as per project specifications. • Apply caulking to seal gaps and improve the finish of installations. • Collaborate with team members on various construction site activities. • Utilize power tools effectively and safely for various general construction tasks. • Participate in remodeling projects, transforming spaces according to client needs. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly. Skills • Proficiency in trim carpentry techniques and practices. • Ability to fabricate wooden structures with accuracy and craftsmanship. • Knowledge of caulking applications for sealing joints and gaps. • Willingness to learn from general construction masters • Understanding of general construction site practices and safety regulations. • Competence in using power tools safely and effectively. • Strong skills in remodeling projects, demonstrating creativity and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to receive criticism and want to improve daily skills • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
